Question for you: What do you REALLY want from your practice?
This isn’t a question about corporate-sounding mission and vision statements. It’s not about what you’ve been told you are *supposed* to want from your practice. It’s not even about what your spouse or friends or law partners want for you.
I’m asking YOU: what do you REALLY want from your practice?
This question can be both easy and hard to wrangle, all at the same time – weird, but true, even (or maybe especially) when you spend a lot of time thinking about it. But answering it, and being willing to regularly revisit both the question and your answers, is critical to building a practice you love, that loves you back.
Do not pass GO, do not collect $200, until you have done the work here!
I mentioned last week that the Path to PROmance content is organized into 6 modules – and you won’t be surprised to know that the first one is “Picture your PROmance”. It’s all about getting clear on your vision for your firm, so you know exactly what you’re working toward and why.
We’ve packed this module with powerful exercises you can use to define what you want (and what you won’t accept) from your practice. Ever heard us talk about the Clarity Creation Circle, or the Ideal Day? They sound simple, but I guarantee you they will rock your perspective of what you really can have in your practice and life.
You’ll also take a hard look at where your current reality doesn’t match up to your vision for your PROmance. Our Gap to Goal tools and PROmance Scorecard will help you pinpoint and prioritize what needs work. It might sound un-fun to make the list of where your reality isn’t aligned to your goals – but it’s also incredibly empowering. Knowing you have a problem is one thing; knowing what to do about it is EVERYthing.
This isn’t traditional, textbook-style vision work. That’s not what you need.
This is the work that is going to fuel your PROmance because you’ll know exactly what you want – and WHY – and you’ll be able to see a clear path to get there.
