🎙 📣 PSA: Mid-November is the new NYE (and it’s time to block out time for strategic planning)!
A friend told me last week that she went into Target the day before Halloween, and the Christmas decor was already on the shelves. Apparently, Halloween is the new Christmas Eve!
—>> Which means…mid-November is basically New Year’s Eve…! 🎉
That’s especially true when it comes to strategic planning for the new year. Once we hit Thanksgiving, it’s a sprint into 2025 – filled with year-end meetings, deal closings, festivities, and on and on. That’s not a bad thing, but it can make it hard to think deeply.
Powerful strategic planning requires some head space (and a half day of calendar space, at least!), and those two things are hard to come by after mid-November, at least in my experience.
So, if you want to set yourself up for a tremendous 2025 (and particularly for great momentum in Q1), here’s your action plan:
✔ (1) Find a day (or at least a half day) between now and Thanksgiving week, when you can block yourself off for a strategic planning session. Block the time as “Out of Office”, and reschedule things if you need to.
✔ (2) Follow our tried-and-true framework for strategic planning (see the link in the comments), so you can use your time well and come away with an action plan that empowers you to make progress toward a practice you love, that loves you back (without derailing your actual practice of law).
That’s it! Two steps – and if you happen to be in Northeast Florida, you can knock them both out in just ONE step ✅, by grabbing your ticket (link in the comments) to join the ADVOS Pro team for a live, in-person half-day strategic planning session on November 15. You show up, and we’ll guide you through the process. Gwen Griggs and Sarah Stroscio and I would love to see you there!!
Can’t join us for the in-person planning day, but still interested in guided strategic planning? Our Accelerator members have virtual strategic planning sessions with us as a group every quarter, and Accelerator membership opens again VERY soon. Stay tuned! (And drop me a line if you’d like to be one of the first to know when membership reopens.)
To your PROmance!
