Let’s make some Year-End Magic
The end of the year can be chock-full of activity, from year-end strategic planning 🗓️, budgeting and goal setting, to client projects that need to be closed by 12/31, plus all of the holiday festivities happening in the professional and personal realms.
We’re here for ALL of it – but that can be a lot to manage! 😳
Done well, the year-end and holiday season can be a great opportunity to strengthen client relationships, build team rapport & culture, make an impact on your community, raise awareness of your firm’s profile, set yourself up for an incredible new year / Q1, and even give yourself the headspace to process all that comes with the turn of the year.
Done poorly, well…I suspect we’ve all been there. It’s not pretty.
But how is it possible to squeeze all of that goodness out of the last quarter of the year, while still doing the work that keeps the lights on? The secret, friends, is having a Playbook (and putting it in motion at the start of Q4)!

If you don’t already have a Playbook for managing the holiday-related activities in your firm, next-year-you will thank this-year-you if you document what you do this year, and use that as your Playbook for next year.
Keep it simple – no need to overcomplicate. Just remind yourself of the decisions you’re making, messaging you’re using, and lessons you’re learning this year, so that next year you start with a huge leg up. Then set a reminder for next-year-you, say around the first week of October, to pull out that Playbook and set things in motion. (And send yourself some gratitude for making it easy!)
